Synopsis:
Zombies and quick-witted humor? You bet! Not your typical blood and gore zombie tales, even non-zombie fans will enjoy these stories. These tales will make you almost believe that the existence of zombies is a distinct possibility and that life after the undead might be much different than you might imagine. Consider the plight of the Grim Reaper when he descends upon the law offices of Romero, O’Bannon, Fulci & Flanders only to find his next “client” is already dead in “Every Death You Take”. Or how about “The Farmer’s Daughter” who brings her boyfriend home to meet the family and he isn’t exactly what they imagine a future son-in-law might be like. Or a creepy visit to a zombie museum in the middle of nowhere in “A Night At The Zombie Museum”. And who do you think might be smarter? A gang of zombie bikers or the I.Q. delinquent hillbillies in “Ozark Hicks and Zombie Chicks”? Well, it’s a close call. And it’s all here in “Forever Zombie: A Collection of Undead Guy Tales” and each story has a special touch that will keep you reading far into the night. Think you can read just one tale each night before bed? Try two or three. Or maybe you’ll still be reading the last of the stories as the sun rises (hopefully), the next morning. This newly edited version contains three new tales from the author. Order from Amazon.

Principal Taft’s 3 Simple Rules for Surviving a Zombie Uprising: Rule #1: While in the halls, walk slowly and wear a vacant expression on your face. Zombies won’t attack other zombies. Rule #2: Never travel alone. Move in packs. Follow the crowd. Zombies detest blatant displays of individuality. Rule #3: If a zombie should attack, do not run. Instead, throw raw steak at to him. Synopsis:
Maternal love faces formidable challenges in this stellar steampunk tale. In an alternate 1880s America, mad inventor Leviticus Blue is blamed for destroying Civil War–era Seattle. When Zeke Wilkes, Blue’s son, goes into the walled wreck of a city to clear his father’s name, Zeke’s mother, Briar Wilkes, follows him in an airship, determined to rescue her son from the toxic gas that turns people into zombies (called rotters and described in gut-churning detail). When Briar learns that Seattle still has a mad inventor, Dr. Minnericht, who eerily resembles her dead husband, a simple rescue quickly turns into a thrilling race to save Zeke from the man who may be his father. Intelligent, exceptionally well written and showcasing a phenomenal strong female protagonist who embodies the complexities inherent in motherhood, this yarn is a must-read for the discerning steampunk fan. Synopsis:
When the Agent X plague struck, it infected women first, turning them into mindless killers intent only on creating an army of “Xombies” by spreading their disease. Running for her life, seventeen-year-old Lulu is rescued by the father she has never known and taken aboard a refitted nuclear submarine that has one mission: to save a little bit of humanity. “The writing is fast paced and keeps you hooked. The book itself is a cross between Night of the Living Dead and an end-of-the-world-type premise like Earth Abides, one of my all-time favorites.” –Roundtable Reviews Order from Amazon

It’s difficult to tell if critics’ reactions to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies should be characterized as praise or astonishment. Some reviewers treated the book as a delightful gimmick. Others found that, beneath the surface, the book actually constituted an interesting way of looking at Austen’s novel. Zombies answer certain puzzling questions: Why were those troops stationed near Hertfordshire? Why did Charlotte Lucas actually marry Mr. Collins? (She had recently been bitten by zombies and wanted a husband who could be counted on to behead her—of course!) But critics also pointed out that this parody shows that Austen’s novel has remained so powerful over time that even the undead can’t spoil it. Order from Amazon
